OREANDA-NEWS. October 27, 2015. In Ukraine there have been fired 785 officials who fall under the law about the cleansing power. Over a thousand officials, who were subjected to this act, resigned voluntarily. Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk informed in 10 minutes with the Prime Minister programme.

"It was the core demand of the Ukrainian people in Maidan – to replace the power," he said.

According to the Head of Government, the Constitutional Court wants to cancel the law on lustration, "as those who supported the Yanukovych’s regime want to go back".

The fact that the CC want to repeal the law is viewed by Arseniy Yatsenyuk as a result of "redecoration" of the judicial system.

"They (the Constitutional Court – ed.) want to abolish the law, as under this law, each judge of the Constitutional Court, who together with Yanukovych usurped power and destroyed the Ukrainian Constitution, should be subjected to mandatory dismissal", he emphasized, noting that there were eight such judges of the Constitution Court.

"There won’t be old rules and return to the past. We will make ahead, pursue reforms and build our common future together", stressed Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
