OREANDA-NEWS. Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced its production, sales and export figures for September and the six months from April to September 2015.

1. Production

September

Nissan's global production in September increased 0.8 percent year-on-year to 436,272 units.

Production in Japan increased 2.1 percent year-on-year to 72,662 units, mainly due to strong demand for the X-Trail.

Production outside of Japan increased 0.6 percent year-on-year to 363,610 units, marking an all-time record for the month of September.

In the U.S., production increased 3.7 percent year-on-year to 86,076 units, primarily due to increased demand for the Murano, marking an all-time record for the month of September.

In Mexico, production increased 4.2 percent year-on-year to 70,382 units, mainly due to strong sales of the NP300 Frontier and the Versa, marking an all-time record for the month of September.

In the U.K., production decreased 4.0 percent year-on-year to 47,009 units.

In Spain, production decreased 9.9 percent year-on-year to 7,476 units.

In China, production was up 3.4 percent year-on-year to 95,153 units, primarily due to increased demand for the Sylphy series.

Production in other regions was down 6.7 percent year-on-year to 57,514 units.

April-September

Nissan's global production from April to September increased 2.7 percent year-on-year to 2,520,338 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.

In Japan, domestic production increased 0.7 percent year-on-year to 416,457 units.

Production outside of Japan increased 3.1 percent year-on-year to 2,103,881 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.

In the U.S., production was up 2.1 percent year-on-year to 473,828 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.

In Mexico, production increased 1.9 percent year-on-year to 412,164 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.

In the U.K., production was down 3.2 percent year-on-year to 232,779 units.

In Spain, production decreased 30.2 percent year-on-year to 48,107 units.

In China, production was down 0.7 percent year-on-year to 570,338 units.

Production in other regions increased 20.6 percent year-on-year to 366,665 units.

2. Sales

September

Global sales increased 4.6 percent year-on-year to 460,509 units, marking an all-time sales record for the month of September.

Japan:

  • Sales including mini-vehicles declined 8.3 percent year-on-year to 56,544 units.
  • Vehicle registrations decreased 5.5 percent year-on-year to 37,622 units.
  • Mini-vehicle sales decreased 13.4 percent year-on-year to 18,922 units.

Sales outside of Japan increased 6.7 percent year-on-year to 403,965 units, marking an all-time sales record for the month of September.

Sales in the U.S. increased 18.3 percent year-on-year to 121,782 units, marking an all-time sales record for the month of September, mainly due to higher demand for the Rogue and the Versa sedan.

Sales in Mexico increased 17.5 percent year-on-year to 28,313 units, marking an all-time sales record for the month of September, mainly due to increased demand for the NP300 Frontier and the Versa.

In Europe, sales increased 11.8 percent year-on-year to 78,720 units, marking an all-time sales record for the month of September, primarily due to strong sales of the Pulsar and the Qashqai.

In China, sales were up 2.9 percent year-on-year to 97,868 units, mainly due to increased demand for the X-Trail and the Sylphy series.

Sales in other regions were down 14.7 percent year-on-year to 65,117 units.

April-September

Global sales increased 1.3 percent year-on-year to 2,589,097 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.

Japan:

  • Sales including mini-vehicles declined 9.0 percent year-on-year to 264,793 units.
  • Vehicle registrations decreased 3.7 percent year-on-year to 176,061 units.
  • Mini-vehicle sales decreased 17.9 percent year-on-year to 88,732 units.

Sales outside of Japan were up 2.6 percent year-on-year to 2,324,304 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.

Sales in the U.S. increased 6.6 percent year-on-year to 754,860 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.

Sales in Mexico increased 20.3 percent year-on-year to 166,095 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.

In Europe, sales were up 10.0 percent year-on-year to 367,141 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.

In China, sales decreased 2.6 percent year-on-year to 562,455 units.

Sales in other regions were down 5.3 percent year-on-year to 399,631 units.

3. Japan exports

September

Nissan's exports in September decreased 7.6 percent year-on-year to 36,954 units.

April-September

Nissan's exports increased 6.9 percent year-on-year to 249,727 units.
