OREANDA-NEWS. October 26, 2015. Vitalie Tarlev, The Deputy Minister of Information Technology and Communication participated today, October 22, 2015, in the opening of the 7th edition of ICT Career Orientation.

"The Ministry of Information Technology and Communications, with the support of the development partners, is permanently involved in identifying and creating new affirmation opportunities for young people passionate of information technologies. Due to the effective policies promoted in recent years, there is a considerable increase of the ICT share in national economy, and the number of people employed in the sector is growing constantly. For young people, the ICT represents an opportunity to find a well-paid job at home”,  Vitalie Tarlev mentioned in his speech for students.

It should be noted that on October 19, there was launched the Project for the Development of ICT Centre of Excellence ”Tekwill”, which shall offer to  students the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge, having an access to laboratories and rooms, equipped with next generation equipment.

Meanwhile, to support the development of IT enterprises, but also to encourage young people open their startups in this area, the MITC elaborated the Draft law on IT parks development, voted by the Parliament during first reading. The key element of the project is the implementation of a new tax model for the IT-park residents by applying a single tax in the amount of 7% of total sales volume. This tax model means simple, clear and transparent mechanisms of administration, which leaves no place for bureaucracy and corruption.

The ICT Career Orientation is dedicated to students from faculties with an ICT profile, offering them a platform for interaction with employers and young people who have already managed to make a career in this field.
