OREANDA-NEWS.  AvtoVAZ will start the production of the serial version of the crossover XRAY on December 15th, 2015, and the new product will go on sale in February of 2016. Cars will be offered for buyers with three petrol engines to choose from. Initial modifications of XRAY will get a 1.6-liter gasoline engine, whose output will be 106 horsepower. The engine will be paired with a manual transmission JR5. It will be also available 114-hp engine of the same volume.

The top version of XRAY will get a 1.8-liter unit with a capacity of 123 hp. The engine will run in conjunction with an automated manual transmission. Due to this engine the crossover can accelerate to 100 km / h for 10,2 seconds. The maximum speed will be 187 km / h.

The length of the production version of the crossover Lada XRAY will be 4164 mm, width - 1764 mm, and height - 1570 mm. The size of the wheelbase - 2592 mm. Minimum boot capacity is equal to 324 liters, with the rear seat folded down - 770 liters.

Soon the model XRAY will pass European crash test standard EuroNCAP. AVTOVAZ expects that the car will pick up at least three stars out of five possible. According to preliminary data, the price of the car will start from 575-595 thousand rubles.
