Maxim Kondratenko appointed VTB Bank Management Board member
OREANDA-NEWS. On 22 October 2015, the VTB Supervisory Council elected Maxim Kondratenko a member of the Management Board of VTB Bank as of the date of his approval by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.
Kondratenko previously served as Head of the Risks department and Senior vice president. He joined VTB Group in 2013 and is responsible for risk management. As a board member, he will be responsible for VTB Group’s risk management.
This appointment will help optimise the bank management system and further strengthen the risk management function for the whole Group, which is especially important in the current economic environment.

Maxim Kondratenko was born 31 July, 1973. He graduated from Moscow State University and the London School of Business, and holds a PhD degree in Economics. He joined VTB in 2013 as Head of the Risks department and Senior vice president. Between 1999 and 2013, he worked consecutively at the Bank Austria Creditanstalt (Russia), International Moscow Bank, Russian Standard Bank and UniCreditBank (Russia), with responsibilities covering various areas of corporate and retail business, credit restructuring and risk management. He started his career at Bank Rossiysky Kredit in 1994.
