OREANDA-NEWS. Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, and the Vertical infrastructure company have announced their partnership on the network launch in Moscow Region.

Vertical now provides Tele2 with around 700 facilities to set up new base stations. One of the main platforms used by Vertical to develop the Tele2 network are connected street lamp posts. Mobile operators use these most up-to-date street light stanchion poles to install their equipment. Mounting bases are engineered individually and are notable for their superstrength.

Tele2 commissions over 100 base stations every week and availability of infrastructure to place them is very important as it considerably speeds up construction pace. The company sets up base stations in the most efficient way to provide wide coverage and high network capacity.

The operator is about to finish preparations for the launch in Moscow and Moscow Region on 22 October 2015. On the launch day the Tele2 network will be available to 90% population of the capital and 75% residents of Moscow Region, including the largest cities such as Odintsovo, Podolsk, Khimki, Mytishchi, Zheleznodorzhnyy, Lyubertsy, Vidnoye, Reutov, Korolev, Dolgoprudnyy, Krasnogorsk and Elektrostal.

Ritvars Krievs, Chief Technical Officer at Tele2: “Tele2 has always efficiently planned and constructed networks and it sticks to its principles now when rolling out its network in Moscow. It is not an easy task to find a spare place for the company’s equipment in close city development conditions. The use of connected street lamp poles also allows us to speed up the network rollout pace.”

Georgiy Chumburidze, founder of Vertical: “Our partners at Tele2 charged us with a very important and challenging project whose implementation sets ambitious tasks. I am sure that result of cooperation between two strong teams will please Tele2 subscribers.”
