OREANDA-NEWS. October 26, 2015. The Russian government plans to allocate from the state budget 10 billion rubles for the development of  unmanned road, air and maritime transport, as well as on the development of Neuro technology.

According to the newspaper "Kommersant", the projects of four "road maps" - "AvtoNet", "AeroNet" MariNet and NeyroNet - were approved by the Presidium of the Presidential Council for economic modernization and innovative development. A project will begin in 2016. The initiators hope that by 2035, Russian companies will join world leaders in the production of equipment for autonomous vehicles, drones and ships with digital navigation.

In February of 2015 KAMAZ and Russian software developers Cognitive Technologies began the developing of an unmanned cargo vehicle. For the implementation of the project the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia has allocated 300 million rubles, 90 million more will be invested by KAMAZ.

The new UAV will work on the basis of "passive model of computer vision." The control electronics of the car will be guided on road by using data, obtained from external cameras and special sensors. The complex will be able to work in all weather conditions, by recognizing road signs, traffic lights, as well as all moving objects in the way, writes Motor.ru.

It is expected that in 2016 the drones will be used at the production sites of KAMAZ, and in 2017 the technology will be tested on public roads.

In the autumn of 2014 it became known that the automakers, operating in Russia, declined to participate in the creation of an unmanned vehicle on the basis of the model of B-segment. An amount of 100 million rubles that was promised by the Ministry of Industry as a subsidy remained unclaimed.
