OREANDA-NEWS. Over 9 months of 2015, electric power generation by E.ON Russia totaled 38.6 bn kWh, showing a 9.6% decrease versus the 2014 figures. Over a period from January to September 2015, electric power sales stood at 40.5 bn kWh (-9.1% as compared to last year).

Heat power generation by E.ON Russia's power plants in the reporting period totalled 1,299,300 Gcal, which is 10% lower than in the analogous period of 2014.

Electric power sales volume decrease in the reporting period is caused by changes in the balance of the UPS of Russia - no energy consumption growth in the context of a significant rise of new capacities due to the power supply agreement. This situation prolonged the inaction period of the generators put in the static reserve. The decrease in total energy consumption was also affected by the alteration of the repairs schedule.
