OREANDA-NEWS. The SKOLKOVO Moscow School of Management and Schlumberger Company agreed to prolong the partnership agreement for a further three-year period. An agreement of intent for the development of business education was signed on October 20th by Andrei Rappoport, President, SKOLKOVO Moscow School of Management, and Gokhan Saygi, Schlumberger President, Russia and Central Asia.

“Schlumberger is interested in maintaining a continuous dialog with the SKOLKOVO management and intends to take an active part in the development of the Moscow School of Management. Our company continues investment in Russia through the development of the infrastructure of the Russian oil and gas industry and training of highly-skilled professionals. Our active participation in Moscow School of Management is another aspect of investment that Schlumberger committed to make in order to develop business talent in Russia,” commented Gokhan Saygi.

The agreement provides the participation of Schlumberger specialists in the diploma and corporate educational programs proposed by the SKOLKOVO Moscow School of Management. Schlumberger will also continue to support the School in developing various educational initiatives.

Schlumberger is a member of the SKOLKOVO Moscow School of Management International Advisory Board, an advisory management body, which performs strategic consulting and participates in determining the vector of further development of the School. In 2011, the School and Schlumberger signed a five-year contract for establishing and financing a Schlumberger Project Management Chair, the head of which was appointed Professor Jean-Marc Soucy, having a multiyear experience in this field.

Throughout these years, the Schlumberger Project Management Chair has been a center for expertise, consulting and development of a methodology for teaching project management disciplines in the SKOLKOVO Moscow School of Management and has brought the School’s corporate programs to a new level.
