OREANDA-NEWS. Aon Benfield, the global reinsurance intermediary and capital advisor of Aon plc (NYSE:AON), today announces the appointment of Sergio Rivera Jimenez as CEO of Aon Benfield Colombia, effective immediately.

Reporting to Alejandro Galizia, CEO of Aon Benfield Latin America, Mr. Rivera brings extensive re/insurance industry experience to his new role. In a career spanning more than 25 years, he most recently served as Executive Managing Director of Mapfre Assistance in Americas, Europe, Asia and the Pacific.

Prior to this position, Mr. Rivera was employed in several high profile roles at Mapfre Colombia and Latin America.

Mr. Rivera qualified as an industrial engineer from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogote. He holds an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa de Espaea.
