TCR Selects Oracle Hospitality for Industry-Leading Functionality and Efficiency
OREANDA-NEWS. October 21, 2015. Oracle today announced that TCR (London) Ltd, a privately-owned company that operates town-centre based restaurants across the UK, has chosen Oracle Hospitality Simphony Point-of-Sale (POS) Client and Oracle Hospitality Workstation 6 terminals for its restaurants, including the popular Caf? Giardino, Azzuro and Auberge brands.
With 19 restaurants and plans for expansion, TCR needed a technology platform that could support the strategic development of its business. The company wanted to modernize the guest experience, achieve additional operational efficiency through centralization and adopt a simplified approach to opening new sites.
The Simphony platform will provide TCR with one centralized system to manage operations across all three brands, allowing centralised reporting and auditing for the management team, together with drill-down capabilities to real-time order-specific information. This minute-by-minute detail will support loss prevention and enable maximised revenue and profitability. Menu and promotions updates can also be made centrally, allowing TCR to execute a change at an individual restaurant, across a number of restaurants or for an entire chain.
Oracle Hospitality’s integrated hardware solution, the Workstation 6 with Oracle MICROS E-Series Tablets, will provide TCR with point-of-service terminals durable enough to stand up to the demands of a busy restaurant environment. The tablets give the choice of fixed terminal or the flexibility of a mobile device, which will allow staff to move swiftly from a service point to any area of the restaurant to enhance the guest experience.
“Oracle Hospitality provides the best technology solution available to hospitality operators and its cloud technology offers us real advantages, in terms of freeing us from licence fees and allowing us to centralize our operations,” said Michaela Fisher, Financial Director, TCR. “Simphony POS offers a comprehensive functionality set and we don’t pay extra for things like reporting or menu changes. That simplification will save us money and allow us to expand quickly and easily.”
“We are extremely pleased that TCR has selected Simphony as the go-forward technology platform for their business,” said Dale Grant, senior vice president, Oracle Hospitality. “Simphony leverages our Workstation 6 and tablet hardware and will deliver a perfect solution for TCR that scales for future growth.”
Oracle Hospitality was selected by TCR following an extensive review of industry systems. The company’s partnership with Oracle Hospitality dates back to 2007, through Torex and MICROS.
