OREANDA-NEWS. A new automated machining facility based on a multilevel warehousing system will be built at the Shvabe Holding's enterprise.

As a part of modernisation to be carried out at UOMZ PA JSC, a Shvabe Holding's enterprise, it is planned to establish in 2015-2016 a single site with high-performance automated equipment and present-day software. This process provides establishing a high technology manufacturing facility with the period of autonomius operation up to 48 hours. It will allow to reduce the labour intensity in the machining workshop by 1.7 times.

"At the enterprise a unique project will be arranged, which has no analogues in Russia, namely, an automated machining facility based on a multilevel warehousing system. Upon completion of construction the design capacity of production will amount to over 720,000 parts a year with the nomenclature of 3,000 units", commented Igor Samoilov, UOMZ PA JSC's chief process engineer - operations director.

It is planned to commission the automated machining facility in 2017.

Since 2016 a number of major technical upgrading projects have been implemented in UOMZ PA JSC. For the period from 2007 to 2014 159 innovative equipment units have been purchased and introduced into production. In addition, over 10,000 sq.m of industrial premises has been modernized and 11 production subdivisions have been technically upgraded.
