OREANDA-NEWS. According to the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", almost half (47.4%) of new cars and premium luxury brands are registered in Moscow (38.6%) and the Moscow Region (8.8%). About 11% of the total number of expensive cars is registered in Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad region.

Among the regions of Russia the most expensive cars go to the Krasnodar Territory (4.2%). In the second place there is Tatarstan (2.7%), the third place is occupied by the Sverdlovsk region (2.4%), the fourth - the Rostov region (2.1%), and the fifth - the Tyumen region (1.9%, including K Khanty Mansiysk Autonomous District and Yamal-Nenetsk Autonomous District). The top-10 of regions of Russia with rich car owners also includes Samara region (1.8%), Chelyabinsk Region (1.7%), Nizhny Novgorod region (1.5%), Bashkortostan (1.4%) and Stavropol (1,3%).

Totally Moscow, St. Petersburg and the top-ten Russian regions have almost 80% of new cars of premium and luxury brands.
