OREANDA-NEWS. October 21, 2015. ETERNO plant is listed as a Gazprom and Transneft supplier. At the pre-certification stage, ETERNO developed three technical specifications to incorporate particular requirements of the clients: TU 1469-001 and TU 1469-003 for connections with DN ranging from 500 to 1400 mm designed for trunk and field pipelines rated to 11.8 MPa and 9.8 MPa, respectively (for Gazprom), TU 1469-002 for trunk oil pipelines and product pipelines with O.D. from 530 to 1220 mm rated to working pressure up to 14.0 MPa (for Transneft). The technical specifications were examined by Gazprom VNIIGAZ and NII Transneft research and design institutes. Gazprom and Transneft representatives were shown a complete process train of the plant in operation and prototype test data. Besides, the plant products successfully passed industrial safety evaluation as required by the RF Rostechnadzor.

“Being listed as a Gazprom and Transneft supplier enables ETERNO to bid in all tenders held by leading oil and gas companies”, says Valentin Tazetdinov, RIMERA GROUP Deputy General Director for trunk pipeline equipment. “Very soon, we intend to take first orders to fabricate pressed and welded parts to meet on-going maintenance and operating needs of our key clients”.

As reported earlier, ETERNO is a new plant built at the ChelPipe site under White Metallurgy standards; it incorporates equipment made by leading global manufacturing companies from Sweden, Switzerland, South Korea, Poland and Italy. The plant is expected to produce up to 10,000 tons of pressed and welded parts per year, including pipe bends, tee fittings, reducers and end covers. The level of production engineering, process automation, logistics, personnel qualification achieved at ETERNO allows it in the long term to take leading position in the Russia market for top product quality, competitive production cost and minimized lead time. The process train is expected to be fully commissioned by the end of this year.
