OREANDA-NEWS. October 20, 2015. The latest version of the best-selling nameplate in South Africa (for the first half of 2015) – the Ford Ranger - was launched to SA and SSA media in the Western Cape.

The launch took the form of a four day event, comprising 100 representatives over four rotations from automotive, lifestyle, influencer and consumer media. Hosting the business session and in-depth Q&A was Ranger Product Development Director Jeremy Pillay, and LCV Brand Manager Dale Reid.

The launch followed the Built Ford Tough agenda, with delegates snaking out to the Ceres Valley, around 200km outside central Cape Town, before putting the new Ranger through some arduous paces on a 4x4 trail in the remote and scenic Matroosberg area. Media first negotiated a mid-to-expert level obstacle course, before ascending a challenging off-road mountain pass around 1 500 metres above sea-level.
