OREANDA-NEWS. VTB Bank and the Government of Moscow Region have signed a cooperation agreement at the Russia Calling! Investment Forum. The document was signed by VTB President and Chairman of the Management Board Andrei Kostin and Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov.

The agreement aims to create favourable conditions for the development of Agropark Maksimikha, an agro-industrial cluster in the Moscow Region.

This cluster will comprise a wholesale distribution centre, an interregional multimodal terminal and logistics centre and production facilities. All the components will be integral parts of a whole and synergies are expected. The total project area will exceed 2,700 hectares.

Agropark Maksimikha is planned as a solution to a number of major regional challenges: it will stimulate agricultural production, contribute to import substitution programme and help agricultural producers, including those from other regions, enter the wholesale market of the Moscow Region.
