Cubic to Feature Cognitive Software Capabilities at Society for Neuroscience
At the meeting, Intific, Cubic’s center of excellence for agile software development, will exhibit software capabilities for cognitive assessment creation, environment creation along with the company’s NeuroBridge software.
“In addition to leveraging our software development capabilities to create enhanced and realistic training experiences, Cubic and Intific are combining our NeuroBridge software with the latest innovations from the gaming industry to create immersive, experimental environments for research,” said Tom F. Nugent III, director of Neuroscience and Education divisions at Intific. “We believe neuroscience software should be accessible, easy to use and customizable, but still grounded in real science. From improvements in cognitive performance to providing quantifiable assessment support for rehabilitation, we’re focused on insuring that neuroscience stays a key component of our work."
During the event, Cubic’s Intific will highlight various neuroscience-related software solutions, including:
- NeuroBridge: The software provides an opportunity for next-generation neurofeedback capability by allowing the user to utilize biophysiological state measurements to seamlessly modulate and change a simulation experience or game, in real-time to the subject or player. This closed loop capability allows for a true experience for data collection, customization, and tailoring to a target audience.
- Space Doc: Developed as a training tool to address the core fundamentals of medical first/emergency medical responders, this virtual reality- and tablet-based application is a hands-on example of the types of environments that can be created for more realistic experiments for neurofeedback or quantification of behavioral performance.
- Web-Based Assessment: As a full development studio, Intific has the capability to digitize any type of cognitive or behavioral assessments to help researchers reach a wider audience for increased data collection and convenience while maintaining data security and privacy.
