OREANDA-NEWS. October 15, 2015. Delta is increasing the number of payment options available to international customers booking travel at delta.com to include online bank transfers made in real time.

Delta is the first U.S. airline to offer this payment method to customers in 11 countries including: Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Online bank transfers are offered beside existing gift, debit, and credit card options, giving customers more choices when purchasing air travel at delta.com.

“As a global airline we are focused on making Delta easier to do business with and this includes acknowledging that customers around the world have different preferences when it comes to paying online,” said Nat Pieper, Senior Vice President Europe, Middle East and Africa.

“Offering online bank transfers provides greater choice and convenience, expanding payment options available to deliver a safe, secure and increasingly popular way to purchase travel on delta.com.”

Delta has partnered with Global Collect, Ingenico Group’s ePayments Division, a leader in local alternative payment solutions, to offer this payment choice. After selecting the online banking option on the payment page of delta.com, customers are securely directed to the appropriate banking network for their market, such as iDEAL in the Netherlands.

Once the amount is confirmed, the customer is redirected back to delta.com for completion of the transaction. Customers wishing to purchase tickets using the online bank transfer option at delta.com must already have an account with a participating bank.
