OREANDA-NEWS. On October 8, in Lisbon, Portugal, the European Outsourcing Association (EOA) announced the winners of the 2015 EOA Awards. The awards ceremony, which followed the EOA Leadership Summit, celebrated the successes of outsourcing buyers and service providers who have demonstrated the best practice in pan–European outsourcing.

IBA Group and its customer, Minsk City Authorities (Minsktrans) were shortlisted in the categories Outsourcing Works — Award for Delivering Business Value in European Outsourcing and Pan–European Buyer of Outsourcing Services of the Year. Both entries featured the Automated Fare Collection (AFC) system that IBA Group implemented in the Minsk public transport.

The winning category for the submission was Pan–European Buyer of Outsourcing Services of the Year and Minsk City Authorities were announced the winner. The competition was very tense because four other contestants competed for the award in this category.

Kerry Hallard, CEO of the National Outsourcing Association (NOA), said: “Once again we've seen a fantastic array of organisations offering up some of the best outsourcing examples that Europe and beyond has to offer, making this year's awards ceremony particularly competitive. The winners must be immensely proud — every entrant and outsourcing partnership on the shortlist showcased the ability to provide business value in an exciting and innovative manner. “

IBA Group developed and implemented the AFC system in 2014. In 2015, it was recognized as the best vertical solution of the year at the European IT & Software Excellence Awards organized by IT Europa.
