OREANDA-NEWS. October 14, 2015. Pervouralsk Pipe Plant (part of ChelPipe Group) has released the millionth tonne of small-bore electric-welded pipes. The jubilee batch of pipes size 8.0 Х 0.7 mm was shipped to ZAO Atlant, one of the CIS leading producers of home appliances based in Minsk.

The plant’s pipe arc-welding facility fabricates small-bore pipes of various profile. This facility is the RF leading producer of tubes for dampeners and pipework of home refrigerators (Indesit and Stinol, Atlant, BEKO brands). In keeping with the company strategy, the plant is increasing the ordered export volumes. Over the recent 5 years the fridge tube production line has been upgraded along with the oven for heat treatment of carbon and low-alloy pipes.

The jubilee welding was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the plant’s trade union, one of the largest in Sverdlovsk District.

“To celebrate notable dates with fabrication achievements is our pipe workers’ tradition. The history of the trade union movements is closely associated with the development of the Pervouralsk plant. Today the trade union counts over 70% of the plant personnel. It’s noteworthy that we celebrate the trade union’s anniversary at the pipe arc-welding facility. It is here that the pipe fabrication industry of the Ural region and whole country was born”, said Aleksander Isaikin, Managing Director of the Pervouralsk Pipe plant, at the ceremony of welding the jubilee tonne of electric-welded pipes.
