OHSAS 18000 is a package of standards providing requirements and guidelines for the development and integration of industrial and occupational safety management systems that help address risks within management systems and improve the latter’s performance. The Pipeline Bends has been certified under such system since 2011.

As part of the supervisory audit, the inspection team has evaluated the activities of all the plant units, also in terms of efficiency of safety arrangements and risk assessment, compliance with common legal requirements for occupational safety, operational monitoring. As a result, the industrial/occupational safety management system has been acknolwedged meeting the standard.

As Leonid Malamud, Executive Director of the Pipeline Bends, said, “Improved working environment and the personnel’s compliance with safety regulations are one of the company’s key objectives apart from the enhancement of the production capacity. To this end, for instance, the employees have been provided with health resort treatment. There are continuous arrangements to make their work more comfortable”.
