OREANDA-NEWS. October 14, 2015. The Pipeline Bends plant has successfully passed a re-certification audit of its Quality Management System.

Within the 5-days’ inspection, a team of auditors from T?V International RUS, an independent certification agency, assessed the performance of the Pipeline Bends’ units in Kopeisk and the plant’s production site in Magnitogorsk. The audit resulted in awarding Rimera Group’s plant with a certificate of QMS conformity covering the development and production of pipeline fittings. The auditor team paid tribute to the personnel’s advanced engineering background and metrological support of the manufacturing workflow.

“Since 2006, the Pipeline Bends has been undergoing an annual QMS recertification for compliance with ISO 9001-2008 “Quality management systems – Requirement”. After the last year’s audit we have successfully taken a series of actions for the QMS improvement. In particular, we have upgraded the pipe flanging facility to prevent workpiece misalignment and rollover, launched a tee heat-treatment facility, which enhanced output and cost cutback. We have purchased a new 5-ton lift truck, a marking machine and instruments”, says Leonid Malamud, Executive Director of the Pipeline Bends.
