OREANDA-NEWS. As energy efficiency plays a crucial role in a more competitive and sustainable business, Airbus is now pushing for even greater improvements across the company. 

A particular emphasis has been placed on the four Airbus home countries: France, Germany, Spain and the UK – each of which is transitioning to a low-carbon grid, deploying renewables and new technologies. Airbus also is working to harmonise processes across the Airbus Group parent company with its fellow divisions, Airbus Helicopters and Airbus Defence and Space. 

Since 2006, Airbus has successfully reduced the revenue-based energy consumption of its European facilities by 45 per cent and simultaneously decreased their absolute energy consumption by 7.6 per cent.
