OREANDA-NEWS. Berlin hosted today a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Sigmar Gabriel, German Vice-Chancellor and Federal Minister of Economics and Energy.

The parties considered the current state of and the outlooks for the European gas market. The meeting stressed the importance of new infrastructure projects on Russian gas supply to Europe.

Germany is the biggest Russian gas consumer. In 2014 Gazprom sold 40.3 billion cubic meters of gas in the German market.
