Northrop Grumman Appoints Dan Cloyd Corporate Director for Naval Aviation and ISR Programs

Cloyd is the company's liaison with the Navy coordinating strategies and capabilities that draw on Northrop Grumman's extensive capabilities.
Prior to joining Northrop Grumman, Cloyd served in the U.S. Navy in a broad range of leadership positions. Most recently as a rear admiral, he was the director for Maritime Operations, Fleet Forces Command, in Norfolk, Virginia, where he was responsible for training, and providing combat-ready forces to combatant commanders worldwide. He commanded F-14 Tomcat fighter squadrons, a fast combat support ship, a nuclear powered aircraft carrier, a carrier strike group forward deployed to Japan, and the Navy's forces in Japan. He also served as the Navy's representative to the Joint Staff's Joint Capabilities Board, as Chief of Staff for the Atlantic Fleet's Naval Air Forces and as a test Naval Flight Officer at the Pacific Missile Test Center.
Cloyd earned a bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and is a graduate of the Naval Test Pilot School, the Navy Nuclear Power Program, and the National Defense University with a master's degree in National Resource Strategy.
