OREANDA-NEWS. Idemitsu Kosan Co.,Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Takashi Tsukioka) announces that it has opened its Shanghai Office in October 2015 as a base to support organic light-emitting diode (OLED) panel manufacturers in China and collect information about the Chinese market.

China has robust capital investments in mass-production equipment for OLED panels that will be the next generation of displays, mainly by major liquid crystal panel manufacturers, becoming the center of attention as a region of significant growth in the manufacture of OLED panels. Shanghai, in particular, as China´s largest city, exceeding Beijing, and the center of the economy and industry, is attracting many panel manufacturers that have made large-scale investments in OLED panel mass-production equipment.
Against this background, Idemitsu has decided to open its Shanghai Office for OLED materials business, expecting increases in demand and sales of OLED materials due to the expansion of the industry in China. Shanghai has a well-developed transportation network that extends across the country, enabling us to easily access OLED panel manufacturers´ facilities for manufacturing and product development in other areas of China.

The Shanghai Office is our third overseas base for the OLED materials business, following those in South Korea and Taiwan. We will further improve customer services by enhancing the customer-oriented sales system. In order to respond to customers´ needs, we will establish solid manufacturing and sales systems, aiming to strengthen and expand the business as a global manufacturer of OLED materials.
