Toyota holds more than 50% of the market of used cars in the Far East
OREANDA-NEWS. October 09, 2015. According to the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", the used car market in the Far Eastern Federal District (DFO) for 8 months of 2015 was 175,600 units. More than half of them (90,784 units, 51.7%) – are cars "Toyota".
The second most popular car brand in the Far East is Nissan. Its share in the market of used cars in the Far Eastern Federal District is 13.3%. The third position is occupied by Honda (7.5%), and then Mitsubishi (4,8%), Suzuki (3.8%) and Subaru (3%). The top 10 also fall Mazda (2,6%), Lexus (1,9%) and Daihatsu (1,6%) follow.
The only non-Japanese brand, which is in the Top Ten of most popular among residents of the Far East used car, is LADA, which has 2.9% of market share and it was placed on the seventh place of rating. In general, in the Far Eastern Federal District Japanese brands have more than 90% of the market of used cars, almost all of them (92%) with right-hand drive.
