OREANDA-NEWS. Cargill is now recognized as a Category 2 member with the London Metal Exchange (LME). The company applied for membership as part of its business expansion in risk management, offering hedging strategies and solutions in base metals derivatives.

Cargill Financial Services Europe Limited (CFSEL) is the recognized Category 2 membership entity for the company. Cargill pursued a Category 2 membership for its Risk Management business, to provide customers with hedging strategies and products, including tailored options, swaps and structures. Separately, Cargill’s Metals business, as part of the global company’s Energy and Transportation platform, trades physical ferrous metals and does not operate in physical aluminum, copper or other base metals markets.
