OREANDA-NEWS. In the Tver region today a joint fire protection drill of IDGC of Centre and EMERCOM of Russia was held, which became the final event on the preparation of the energy company for the autumn-winter operation period. It was attended by forces and means of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division and EMERCOM of Russia in the Tver region.

According to the conditions of the training, one of the power facilities of IDGC of Centre, the 110 kV Substation "Bezborodovo", caught fire. Employees of a first responding mobile crew of the Tver branch of the company, having evaluated its volume, immediately reported an emergency to the fire protection service, and before the arrival of rescuers they took all necessary actions to prevent further spread of the fire. A fire brigade, which arrived at the site, eliminated the fire. Thus, clear and concerted actions of the participants of the training allowed to avoid serious disturbances in the electric grid complex of the region.

The course of the training was observed not only by the organizers, but also members of the Commission of the Ministry of Energy of Russia, who were evaluating the preparation of IDGC of Centre for the winter operation: Director of the Department of Operational Control and Management in the Electric Power Industry of the Ministry of Energy of Russia Evgeny Grabchak and Deputy Head of Supervisory Electricity Grid Directorate of State Energy Supervision of RTN Alexey Gurzhiy, and the Minister of Energy and Utilities of the Tver Region Dmitry Bazarov. All present experts praised both the professionalism of participants of the training and high readiness of the power engineers of IDGC of Centre to work during the winter peak loads. Dmitry Bazarov thanked the company for choosing the Tver region as the site of the training. "The today's event allowed to see firsthand how well the cooperation of IDGC of Centre and relevant agencies is set up. This allows us to look with confidence to the coming winter," the minister stressed.

"Regular testing of the algorithm of actions at emergency incidents at grid facilities is an important part of preparation for winter peak loads. As a result of the drill, the participants demonstrated that they possess all the necessary skills and abilities to quickly deal with any incidents, to ensure reliable and uninterrupted power supply to consumers," underlined, in turn, First Deputy General Director - Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre Alexander Pilyugin.
