"The Ranger continues to set trends in the light commercial vehicle sector, and this will be stepped up a gear when we roll out the exceptional new model during October." Total sales for the Ranger reached 2,865 vehicles in September, representing a year-to-date increase of 30.8 percent.
"It's also encouraging seeing that demand for the EcoSport continues unabated, claiming its title as leader in the compact SUV segment with 919 sales in September."
The Ford Fiesta once again stood out with its combination of exceptional value, award-winning and highly efficient 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine, plus its impressive range of smart technologies with 933 sales for the month.
Similarly, the even more sophisticated Ford Focus topped out on 486, making this the third highest sales for this year.
Ford still has several new model launches scheduled for the final quarter of 2015. The introduction of the trend-setting all-new Everest is currently underway, soon to be followed by the all-new Figo and Ranger later this month.
