OREANDA-NEWS. AvtoVAZ plans to launch at the facilities of Izhevsk area all-terrain estate car Lada Vesta in 2016, said Bo Andersson, President of AvtoVAZ.

It is expected that the estate car will share the motor range with a sedan Vesta, which stood on the conveyor at "IzhAvto" on September 25th. First, "Vesta" will be offered with a 1.6-liter 16-valve engine producing 106 hp, combined with a manual gearbox or a "robot". Then the line will be supplemented by the version with 114-strong unit of the same volume, which can only work with the "mechanics".

In addition, Bo Andersson said that sales of Lada Vesta will be concentrated in Russia, but he did not rule out the possibility of exports to Belarus and Kazakhstan, and in the future - to Europe. The head of AvtoVAZ recalled that before the end of the year, the company will produce at least 5 thousand cars Lada Vesta. According to the portal "Kolesa.ru", during this period Izhevsk will begin to produce 150 units of the model per a day, and the next year it plans to reach the capacity of 70 thousand cars per year.
