OREANDA-NEWS. On September 19 a final Donor Day and concert were held in Vladivostok in support of the Russian Ministry of Healthcare and Federal Biomedical Agency Blood and Blood Components Donation Promotion Program. Vladivostok was the last stop for the large-scale MUZARTERY Roadshow project, sponsored by general partner UTair Aviation.

More than 80 Primorsky region residents, many of them first-time donors, joined the Donor Day event held in the morning at the regional blood transfusion center. The Donor Day event was followed by a concert with performances from popular singers and bands including Ralph and Lilas, MBAND, Drugie Znaki, Starcardigan, Loi, Roma Ricci and Lena Maksimova.

Over the course of the MUZARTERY Roadshow project UTair held a special On the Wings of UTair photo contest. Participants competed by posting flight-themed photos with a special hashtag to social networks. The first prize for the most original picture went to Evgeny Kunchits who received a certificate for a free flight to any selected destination within UTair’s extensive route network.

The MUZARTERY nationwide music contest is one of the most prominent youth-oriented projects organized under the auspices of the State Blood and Blood Components Donation Promotion Program. The event inspires hundreds of talented song writers, musicians and performers to create new compositions dedicated to the cause of blood donation. In 2015 the project, sponsored by UTair, visited more than 20 regions across Russia.

“Participation in projects like MUZARTERY provides UTair with the opportunity to support the important social cause of regular blood donation and to realize social initiatives,” said UTair – Passenger Airlines President Aleksey Budnik. He added that MUZARTERY is not the only project of the Russian Ministry of Healthcare and Federal Biomedical Agency joined by UTair Aviation. In 2014 UTair helped organize the Air Marathon for a Good Cause, a series of blood donation events along a more than 30,000 km route across Russia. In 2015 UTair provided support for the 70 Years of Victory Blood Drive running through five Hero Cities and Cities of Military Glory across the country. More than 1,500 people participated in the donor movement in that period.

UTair Aviation is the core enterprise of UTair Group. In 2014 UTair Group fleet transported 11,204,598 passengers, achieving a 7% increase over the previous year.
