Febreze® School of #Petiquette is Officially in Session for Pet Owners!
OREANDA-NEWS. September 28, 2015. While we love our furry friends, we can become noseblind to their odors and we shouldn’t expect guests to ignore those smells. Febreze® has partnered with etiquette expert Thomas P. Farley and Instagram star @ToastMeetsWorld to host The Febreze® School of #Petiquette to educate pet owners on the importance of always being guest ready. Febreze® is a pet owner’s other best friend as it doesn’t mask, but truly eliminates pet odors and leaves behind a light, fresh scent.
Class is officially in session at The Febreze® School of #Petiquette for pet owners who want to keep their homes pet odor-free. You can teach dogs many tricks—to sit, stay, lie down and roll over. But let’s face it – has anyone ever accomplished teaching Fido to leave the room if he has to pass gas? And you can’t expect him not to stink when he comes in from the rain.
In fact, pet odor is top of mind (and nose), even ranking above smoke odors in terms of offensive smells in the home. Additionally, the majority (60 percent) of pet owners say that they would hate if their guests thought their homes smelled of animals. But what are they doing to prevent this etiquette faux pas?
The #Petiquette curriculum was developed on the principle that pet owners should always be guest ready and never take the chance of offending their visitors with the odors that accompany their furry loved ones. The Febreze® School of #Petiquette launched today at Liberty Hall at The Ace Hotel in New York City where Thomas P. Farley and his trusty associate, Instragram sensation @ToastMeetsWorld, schooled attendees, including Rumer Willis and Bethenny Frankel, on proper pet odor management.
"Proper petiquette is not about teaching your poodle how to behave during a tea party. It's about making sure you are the host or hostess with the mostest and not subjecting your guests to pet stink when they enter your home,” said etiquette expert Thomas P. Farley. “Offending friends and family with pet odors is an etiquette no-no—and with Febreze® products, it’s simple to ensure you are remembered for your hospitality and not your pet’s smell. The Febreze® School of #Petiquette is an exciting way for me to share my etiquette advice with the very pet owners who are seeking it!”
Sample Febreze® School of #Petiquette lessons and guest-ready tips led by Farley include:
- Some of Happy’s favorite treats have a way of … reappearing when you least want them to. While we can teach him not to jump on guests or eat their shoes, it’s impossible to teach him how to leave the room to pass gas. When your guests are on the way and Happy just won’t abandon that bully stick, try Febreze Air Effects for an instant odor removal leaving behind a light, fresh scent.
- Fido loves giving you hugs and attention – and he doesn’t care if you just got dressed in freshly laundered clothes. If you were having a snuggle session with Fido before friends or family drop by, give your pup-marked clothes a quick spray with Febreze Fabric Refresher to eliminate those odors and leave behind a light, fresh laundry scent (try Febreze with Tide original scent!). You’ll never be left wondering if your friends and family think you … well, smell like dog.
- Dogs love car rides. But while they are propping their head out the window, enjoying the rush of wind through their fur, they may also be ensuring your otherwise tidy car smells like a kennel. Keep your ride fresh for your carpool pals by attaching a Febreze Car Vent Clip to your air vent for continuous odor removal. For an extra dose of freshness, break out the Febreze Fabric Refresher and use it on your fabric seats.
Febreze® is a pet owner’s other best friend and can help combat pet odors (and most odors!) in the home. Because it contains proprietary malodor elimination technologies, Febreze® has the ability to truly eliminate odors and replace them with a pleasant scent.
