According to the agency “Auto-Dealer-Yekaterinburg”, it was sold 28,555 new cars and light commercial vehicles in Yekaterinburg in January-August of 2015, which is less by 44% than in the first eight months of 2014. In August, it was set a record for this year by the number of sold vehicles during the month - Yekaterinburg dealers managed to sell 4,109 vehicles, which is less by 26% compared to the last year. It is the minimum sales dynamics by the results of one month this year.

Lada continues to be a market leader. Therewith, the domestic brands cannot show the best results at one month the second consecutive month. In August, the highest rate in terms of sales was achieved by Hyundai, which during the first half of the year was the leader in the automotive market of the city.

Nissan continues to lose positions in the Top-10 – if by the results of six months the brand was in third place, then in July and August it passed forward Toyota and KIA. The most impressive increase in sales at the end of August in the top 10 was achieved by Chevrolet - by 51%.

There was a change of leadership in the premium segment. The leader almost from the beginning of the year, Mercedes-Benz, has sharply reduced sales for the last two months, which was used by Audi. Also in August, such premium brands as BMW, Lexus, Porsche, were able to increase sales of cars by more than 50%.

Share of Yekaterinburg in total car sales in Russia for the first eight months was 2.7%.
