OREANDA-NEWS. September 25, 2015. OMG plc (AIM:OMG) the technology group providing image understanding products for the entertainment, life science, engineering and consumer electronics markets, is pleased to announce that following the expansion of its infrastructure management arm, Yotta, into Europe earlier this year, Yotta has now extended use of its software outside Europe, securing its first installation in Australia for Horizons, the visualised asset management software.

Yotta Australia, the authorised distributor of Horizons software for Australia and New Zealand, has signed a five year software and service agreement which will see Horizons being used to support two large-scale Maintenance Alliance Contracts encompassing over 8000km of arterial road network for VicRoads, the road and traffic authority in the state of Victoria.

Yotta Australia worked in partnership with Fulton Hogan, who successfully bid for the VicRoads tenders. Fulton Hogan, a specialist with more than eighty years' experience in the transport infrastructure sector, will use Horizons to deliver a complete range of maintenance services across the highways realm for an initial period of five years, with a possible extension of an additional five years.

Glenn Johnston, National Manager, Infrastructure Services at Fulton Hogan, commented:

"The inclusion of Horizons within our bid was a key selling point and differentiator. With support from Yotta Australia we were able to communicate our proposals clearly and precisely and demonstrate how we would use the software to strategically plan works making use of all available data to deliver better outcomes for the road network and the greater community."

Commenting on the contract win, Nick Bolton, CEO of OMG said:

"I am absolutely delighted; our Horizons software is continuing its march into new international markets and verticals. Our software is proving to be a key differentiator when our partners are pitching for contracts and this represents an important moment for Yotta Australia. Yotta's distribution model is proving to be effective and we are delivering on our stated international ambitions.

"We have worked hard to build solid relationships evidenced by over 50 local authorities in the UK using our Horizons software and we look forward to continuing to develop our relationships in the Australian region and helping our customers take advantage of Horizons' capabilities."
