Aeroexpress E-Sales Volume Grows by 47%
OREANDA-NEWS. Aeroexpress has revealed its operational results for the first eight months of 2015, indicating significant growth in online sales.
During this period, over 308,000 people have taken advantage of Aeroexpress services, paid for via the company's mobile app. That corresponds to a 75% increase in this index compared to the same period of 2014.
The total number of tickets purchased via the Aeroexpress website has also increased at over 503,000 tickets versus 377,000 in the previous year (an increase of 33%). The total figures for online sales during the first eight months of the year demonstrate a 47% growth compared to 2014 results. It should be noted that such an increase in Aeroexpress tickets sales through electronic services is not solely due to convenience, but also to the 12% discount obtained when purchasing either Standard or Round-Trip tickets.
"As a modern and high-tech company, in its business Aeroexpress places its stake exactly on developing e-sales channels. Both our own and global studies indicate that our future lies with e-commerce," noted Alexey Sorokin, Chief Operating Officer at Aeroexpress. "We follow tendencies and try to keep up with the times, while responding to our passengers' feedback and requests. By doing so, the company launched its own free mobile app in 2013, as well as the revolutionary Pay@Gate service, making it possible to pay for fares using either Visa PayWave or a MasterCard PayPass bank card directly at the turnstiles. By the end of 2014, Aeroexpress had sold over 1,000,000 e-tickets, and the mobile app, which was awarded the Digital Communications AWARDS, now exceeds 1.5 million downloads."
In addition to the increased ratio for online sales, this summer also saw positive dynamics in Aeroexpress' Family fare statistics, with over 184,000 tickets sold. As a result, during the summer months, sales figures for this fare more than doubled.
