OREANDA-NEWS. The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. (BTMU) has signed a contract to invest in the Asia Climate Partners LP fund. Asia Development Bank (ADB), Orix Corporation and Robeco Groep N.V., are investors in Asia Climate Partners General Partner Ltd., the manager of the fund.

The fund is a private equity fund targeting investment in green energy related and low-carbon business including renewable energy, clean technology, energy conservation, water resources, agriculture, and forestry in India, China and Southeast Asia.

Through our investment in this fund which the ADB is participating in, we will aim to expand business opportunities in the growth markets of India, China and Southeast Asia and to back businesses which are working to resolve issues such as air and water pollution, electricity shortages, and inefficient utilization of energy and natural resources in those countries and regions.
