OREANDA-NEWS. PwC praised for demonstrating further Life Sciences (LS) sector depth with enhanced capabilities from integrating Strategy& operating models to enable transformation beyond discrete LS supply chain performance.

Kennedy, the leading consulting research and advisory firm, has rated PwC as a Kennedy Vanguard Leader in IT consulting to the R&D Function in a new report.

In the report, Kennedy states that PwC has “life sciences risk management services that provide thorough risk analysis that extends outside the four walls of the R&D department and develop a framework to address privacy, security and information risk. Also, the firm has a complete set of advisory offerings around preparing clients for regulatory reporting, including recommendations on streamlining the process through automation and data management.”  Kennedy also notes that “the addition of Strategy& in early 2014 gives PwC deep expertise in developing a business case and R&D innovation strategy that is closely aligned to the corporate business strategy. This skill set complements Strategy&’s and PwC’s ability to identify IT investments that support the newly identified R&D strategy.”

Juan Pujadas, Global Advisory Chairman, said "We are proud to have been recognised as a Kennedy Vanguard leader.  This recognition reflects that PwC is in a unique position to assist clients with their IT consulting needs within the R&D function globally, and that we have committed to growing our already significant capabilities in this space.”

Kennedy also notes that “PwC offers clients the greatest industry depth and stands out as a leader among its peers across each of the industries covered in this research. The firm’s R&D-specific advisory to each of the four industries is enhanced by capabilities gained through the addition of Strategy&. These capabilities emphasize developing R&D strategies and aligning IT strategies to support them.”

PwC is one of only three firms to have attained Kennedy Vanguard status.  Kennedy Vanguard firms are those which demonstrate either market-leading depth in particular capabilities or meaningful depth across a broad spectrum of capabilities.

?Daniel Garrett, Principal and Health Industries Technology Consulting Leader, said “We are pleased to have been rated by Kennedy as a Vanguard leader, and proud that PwC was named as the firm with the greatest breadth and depth of capabilities in IT consulting to the R&D Function. We are gratified that Kennedy specifically noted that PwC demonstrated the greatest strength in the software & Internet industry among the providers rated. We have made significant investments in our applications, digital and analytics capabilities in order to address clients' continually changing needs.”
