Manufacturers of luxury cars streamed into the SUV segment
OREANDA-NEWS. The success of Porsche in the premium SUV segment, probably, not interesting for the manufacturers of luxury brands. Next, 2016 year, obviously, will be the starting point for a serious competition in this segment.
Collection of pre-orders for luxury Bentley Bentayga began in the summer. Although the exact price is not known yet; and this model will be on sale no earlier than 2016, by taking orders for it even in Moscow.

According to the director of analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", Sergey Tselikov, the total capacity of the segment SUV-Luxury in the global market can be up to 200 thousand cars. In Russia, in his estimation, these super expensive off-road vehicles can be sold in amount of few thousand cars per a year.
Recall that in 2014, Porsche produced 66,005 Cayenne SUVs and 59,363 Macan. In Russia, according to the "AUTOSTAT", in 2014 it was sold 2387 Cayenne and 1417 Macan. And in 2015, despite a 33 percent drop in the car market, sales of Porsche SUVs grow.
