OREANDA-NEWS. Chevron's 330,000 b/d Pascagoula, Mississippi, refinery is expected to undergo a four- to six-week long turnaround beginning in early October to address continuing issues with a crude distillation unit (CDU), according to market sources.

The maintenance work will likely curb output of distillates and vacuum gas oil, which is often used as a feedstock for base oils.

Maintenance work on a malfunctioning CDU was originally set to begin in late August or early September and was estimated to last between 40 and 45 days.

Chevron does not comment on refinery operations.
