Shvabe Registered New Computer Software
OREANDA-NEWS. Shvabe Holding received a state registration certificate for its editing software for scanning matrix topologies used in photodetectors.
The new computer software was registered by experts of "RD&P Center "Orion", the Company of Shvabe Holding's Company. The scope of its application is the research and calculation of parameters of advanced photodetectors.
Depending on the purpose of a photoelectron device the location of the sensory elements can be different: they can be located in a matrix, linear, or staggered form. The choice is determined by the tasks of the photodetector, as well as by its design and purpose. The developed software allows to "draw" the topology of scanning matrices and convert it into files that can be downloaded in the photodetector's mathematical model.
Another software program, also patented by the Enterprise "RD&P Center "Orion", can create files of other baseline characteristics and optical parameters. As a result, the mathematical model provides information on the expected output characteristics of the photodetector, including, for example, the detection ability, the relationship between channels, noise and other photoelectric parameters.
"The search for the technical and technological capabilities for improvement of the high-performance infrared systems performance is an essential part of research and development work. Mathematical modeling of parameters of photoelectric devices enables to "predict" the output characteristics of advanced photodetectors with minimum expense. The topology of photodetectors has a great influence on the probability of detection. Therefore, in the future the research and modeling enabled by this software will allow to develop more competitive products in context of the tasks of science and technology, which are getting more and more complex ", - said Nikolai Rakovic, Deputy Director General for Research and Innovation of Shvabe JSC.
The main feature of the innovation is the ability to create a topology of an imaging infrared detector for loading into the mathematical model of a photodetector. This explains its importance. Today, thermal imaging photodetectors that convert infrared radiation into a human perceivable dynamic image are indispensable in many areas of science and technology. For example, thermal imaging devices are widely used in construction, metallurgy, ecology, meteorology, aviation, shipping, fire protection and medicine. They allow to detect sources of thermal radiation at a distance of several kilometers in conditions of poor visibility: in darkness, fog and heavy smoke.
