OREANDA-NEWS. New Skoda Fabia by the results of August entered the "Top-ten" of the best-selling models in Europe. As Skoda Auto noted, this model on par with the new Superb became the locomotive of growth in sales in the European market. And the largest region for Skoda is Germany, where the Czech brand keeps the leadership among importers.

According to data research of company JATO Dynamics, the best-selling model in Europe in August is still Volkswagen Golf, whose sales were 33,672 vehicles (+ 5.1%). Renault Clio is in the second place, whose sales increased by 25.7% to 18,070 vehicles. The third result was shown by Volkswagen Polo, which was chosen by 16,817 European buyers (+ 4.7%). The next is the Volkswagen Passat - sales of this model were 14,748 units (+ 44.4%). The "top-five" of leaders is closed by Skoda Octavia, which was sold in amount of 14,453 units (+ 17.1%). The top-10 of best-selling models in Europe also includes the Ford Fiesta (13,123 units, -2,1%), Peugeot 208 (11,906 units, + 8,5%), Opel / Vauxhall Astra (11681 units, 26 5%), Ford Focus (11,359 units, -7.2%) and Skoda Fabia (11,279 units, + 37.7%).
