Tele2 revises organizational setup for business development
OREANDA-NEWS. Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, has announced new appointments and organizational changes in the company’s setup.
The Tele2 commercial department has been divided into three separate directorates: Marketing and Product, Sales and Mass Market Development, Corporate Business Development.
Igor Maystrenko headed the Sales and Mass Market Development subdivision in September 2015. Maria Chinkova joined the Tele2 team on 14 May 2015 as Director of Corporate Business Development.
Roman Volodin, previously Chief Commercial Officer, will focus on the development of Marketing and Product that was considerably enlarged thanks to the focus on such business directions as mobile devices promotion, online channel development, partnership projects and other new subdivisions.
There are around 8 thou employees at Tele2 now. The company’s organizational setup was defined in the wake of integration with Rostelecom’s mobile assets and their switch to Tele2’s business processes. Tele2 has always been a leader in operational efficiency. As of 2Q15, Russia had 4.3 thou subscribers and RUB2.95 mn in revenues per one employee. Thus, Tele2 has exhibited the best efficiency ratios on the Russian telecommunications market.

“Tele2 is now undergoing a stage of rapid growth and business development. Implementation of the most large-scale integration project on the Russian telecom market is coming to an end, we have already launched wireless Internet networks in the majority of Tele2-penetrated regions and in October 2015 Tele2 will enter the capital’s attractive market. All these changes require revision of our organizational setup for further successful development.
The first step in this direction was made in May 2015: we separated out a subdivision from the commercial department and it entirely focused on work with corporate clients. Another logical step was to separate out two independent subdivisions – marketing and product, mass market sales. I am sure that a new organization setup will help us balance the company’s long-term strategic tasks on brand and product development and operational targets on sales and churn management.”
