BNP Paribas unveils its architectural heritage in France and Belgium
OREANDA-NEWS.On 19 and 20 September, for its 4th participation to the European Heritage Days, BNP Paribas unveils three jewels of its architectural heritage in France and Belgium.
The Group invites the public to discover three remarkable sites, without reservation :
- The Hotel located at 14, rue Bergere in Paris, headquarters of BNP Paribas Investment Partners and historical headquarter of the Comptoir national d'escompte de Paris from 1882 to 1966, the forerunner of BNP Paribas, is open on 20 September, from 10 to 17,
- Nancy branch, Art Nouveau building located at 58, rue Saint Jean, which was the seat of Renauld Bank, ancestor of the Group, is open on September 19 from 10 to 17,
- The building located at 20 rue royale in Brussels, historic headquarters of BNP Paribas Fortis, opens to visitors on 20 September, from 10 to 18.
This year, a conference entitled " The Comptoire d'escompte, reflecting the history of art and architecture : the artists who made Hotel Bergere " is held at 11 and 15, at 14 rue Bergere in Paris, and a photo exhibition about the building at the time of its construction. Moreover, the 20 rue royale in Brussels offers guided tours and historical lectures.
In 2014, nearly 5500 visitors came to discover the historic buildings of the Group.
