OREANDA-NEWS. September 18, 2015. A new high-tech FordStore has opened in Reims in northern France.  More than 600 quests attended the opening on September 11 and were welcomed by Ford France president, Paul Flanagan.

In addition to getting a close look at the many features of the dealership, guests were also able to see the Ford GT, Mustang and the all-new Focus RS displayed in the site’s new 540 sq.m. showroom.

The Reims dealership is operated by Francis Batholom?, who last year sold 2,000 vehicles, including 1,400 vehicles in Reims. He is also the president of the CNPA (French Council of Automotive Professionals), which is a syndicate of automotive investors.

Ford is currently establishing a network of 500 FordStores across Europe. Over 200 have been opened so far, with the total network expected to be completed next year.

Located mainly in major metropolitan areas throughout Europe, the dealerships use advanced technologies and a range of digital tools to provide information to help inform the customer and make their experience exciting and enjoyable.

Among these tools are large format display screens, tablets and a nine-screen Powerwall, which will allow a customer to preview a vehicle configuration in HD quality and near-life size.

Vehicles are arranged in family groups for easy comparison (SUVs, Performance etc), with featured models highlighted in dedicated displays. Other areas, such as the Discover Ford Zone, provide easy access to information on Ford products and technologies. Two of Ford’s most exciting new models, the Mustang and Mondeo Vignale are available from FordStores.
