OREANDA-NEWS. September 17, 2015. Power management company Eaton today announced that together with distributor Cardello Electric Supply & Lighting, the companies will provide a wide variety of electrical products, including wiring devices, light-emitting diode (LED) lighting, standby generators and more, to Pittsburgh Magazine’s 2015 Ultimate House. Pittsburgh’s first-ever Ultimate House is a custom-designed luxury residence that will host public tours September 18 through 20 and September 25 through 27 to raise funds for The Free Care Fund at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC).

The home, built by Primrose Homes, is designed in a rustic contemporary style to highlight the water view in the prestigious Pittsburgh-area neighborhood Lake Macleod. Eaton’s LED recessed downlights and electrical products, including Aspire® RF decorator design switches, complement design features including custom walnut paneling in the living room.

“As a designer, light switches are a functional necessity, but can really interrupt the aesthetics of a room,” said Kristin Hancock, designer, Primrose Homes. “Eaton’s decorative fixtures and innovative lighting controls helped me to effortlessly incorporate lighting into my design.”

In addition to the Aspire RF switches, Eaton supplied energy-efficient Halo® RL4 Series LED downlights, dimmers and receptacles, duplex universal serial bus (USB) receptacles, Patrol night light receptacles, occupancy and vacancy sensors and more. The company also provided a standby generator equipped with an automatic transfer switch and generator monitoring system to enable seamless backup power and efficient, cost effective status monitoring via smartphone, tablet or computer.

“Pittsburgh’s Ultimate House is a truly spectacular home, featuring innovative products to enhance the home’s efficiency and beauty,” said Jeff Martin, owner, Primrose Homes. “As a parent, I’ve seen first-hand the great work done by The Free Care Fund – ensuring children in need of medical care are never turned away for their inability to pay. Given the chance to work with local Pittsburgh businesses and build a tour-worthy home to benefit the fund, I was excited to take part.”

Pittsburgh Magazine’s Ultimate House presented by Peoples Gas is a custom-designed, multi-million-dollar lake front home that will be open for public tours Sept. 18-20 and Sept. 25-27. Tickets for the tours are \\$20 with all proceeds benefiting Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. The Ultimate House is built by Primrose Homes, and Vicci Franz Interior Design LLC is coordinating the interior and furnishings.
