OREANDA-NEWS. The IRU will be on board with EU Mobility Week by joining the European Institutions bike ride with Transport Commissioner Violeta Bulc; European Transport Committee Chair Michael Cramer; Luxembourg Minister responsible for Transport, Francois Bausch; and Pascal Smet, Brussels Mobility Minister. Demonstrating its commitment to innovative road transport the IRU will deliver fresh fruit and cold water to participants by cargo bike.

In addition the IRU will be highlighting its work on sustainable transport at an exhibition on the European Parliament Esplanade, as well as the work already being done by its members that is encouraging multi-modal travel. For example, IRU award winning innovative Coach-Road-Cycle tours by Danish operator Papuga that benefits tourism and coach operators as well as participants’ health.
