OREANDA-NEWS. SOGAZ Insurance Company won the request for proposals of Rosenergoatom Concern entitling to insure machines and equipment of ten nuclear power plants. The insured value of the property exceeds RUB 891 billion.

"The machines and production equipment at Balakovskaya, Beloyarskaya, Bilibinskaya, Kalininskaya, Kolskaya, Kurskaya, Leningradskaya, Novovoronezhskaya, Rostovskaya, Smolenskaya nuclear power plants are insured in case of destruction, loss or damage. The insurance coverage shall include bad welds, power overloads, hydraulic shock and other risks. Besides the insurance agreement will envisage recovery of expenses as a result of disruption of production", - informed Dmitriy Malyshev, the Vice President, Corporate Clients Insurance Director of SOGAZ. The insurance coverage will be valid during one year.

Let's remind, SOGAZ also provides insurance protection to 33 nuclear power-generating units of 10 NPP of Rosenergoatom. The Company insures the nuclear power plants of the concern since 2008.
