IDGC of Centre provided reliable power supply to polling stations on the single day of voting
On the eve of the Election Day the branches were put on high alert mode. To ensure maximum reliability of power facilities during the election campaign, from 12 to 14 September at the facilities of IDGC of Centre all scheduled repair work was cancelled, a ban on switching the existing electrical systems was introduced, as well as round the clock watch of technical managers, professionals, operating and maintenance staff of the branch was organized. Directly on the Election Day, 13 September, in all 11 branches of IDGC of Centre a special mode of operation was introduced: the dispatch, service and maintenance personnel in a maximum way controlled equipment, substations, and power lines.
In preparation for the single day of voting experts of the company double checked communication schemes and the procedure for cooperation with the regional offices of the Federal Security Service, Interior Ministry and Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, as well as messaging and calling staff in case of emergencies.
Specialists of IDGC of Centre held extraordinary inspections of electrical installations in advance, which feed with electricity the polling stations, as well as checked power supply circuits for socially significant facilities, centres of broadcasting and other facilities involved in the preparation and conduct of the voting. In order to ensure uninterrupted power supply of facilities technical condition and ready-to-use backup power sources were checked. The experts of the branches held additional briefings and first responding mobile crews were supplemented by maintenance personnel and equipment in case of the need to eliminate possible technological failures.
Please, be reminded that 13 September the elections were held in all 11 regions of the Central Federal District (CFD), where IDGC of Centre operates. Six regions were fully covered by them: in the Bryansk, Kostroma, Smolensk and Tambov regions the heads of the subjects were elected, in the Belgorod, Voronezh and Kostroma regions - the regional bodies of the legislature. In addition, all regions held a series of elections at the local level, including in the six regional centres - Voronezh, Kostroma, Lipetsk, Orel, Smolensk and Tambov - the city councils and boards were elected.
