NEC to attend Packet Microwave & Mobile Backhaul 2015
NEC will deliver a workshop and two presentations on the theme of 'Challenges and Solutions towards 2020'. NEC will discuss how its experience and technology can help operators overcome challenges in mobile backhaul design due to growing data traffic and numbers of connected devices.
During the event, NEC will highlight its solutions for high capacity transport and intelligent automatic operation, ensuring operations get the most out of available resources, both today and as the industry moves towards next-generation 5G technologies.
The two presentations are:
- Tuesday 22nd September, 9:30am: "Evolution towards 5G, solutions and standardization" – Nader Zein, Chief Engineer, NEC. Presenting emerging 5G requirements, and how the evolved future mobile network architecture will impact demand and requirements in the transport and xHaul network.
- Wednesday 23rd September, 9:45am: "Mobile backhaul advanced efficiency" – L?szl? Nemes, Senior Expert, Wireless Portfolio, NEC. Presenting a possible new mobile backhaul architecture, and trends and applications using the model of Automated Service Innovation.
On Monday 21st September, NEC will deliver a workshop from 12:55 to 14:25 on the topic of "Reinventing transport networks for the future," including the following two topics:
- "Intelligence for network automation" – L?szl? Nemes. Operator workshop on network efficiency and service automation, where are we today and which steps to take.
- "Network optimization" – Romain Tajan. Operator workshop on how to optimize mobile backhaul networks, driven by the goal of improving customer experience.
Patrick Linnebank, Head of TNS Technical Marketing at NEC, said, "NEC has the technology and solutions to help mobile operators address their concerns about network evolution and management, and we can help reduce network complexity and increase network efficiency. NEC products will reduce Cap Ex and Op Ex while also improving end to end Quality of Experience (QoE) for subscribers, resulting in revenue increase for operators."
NEC will exhibit its latest microwave solutions and technologies, including the recently-announced iPASOLINK VR ultra-compact microwave communications system. This enables high-speed and high-capacity wireless transmission that supports next-generation mobile communications such as LTE-Advanced.
